Digital Mammography, the cutting-edge technology in breast imaging, has now become the main diagnostic method in the diagnosis of breast diseases and breast cancer screening. The main difference between digital mammography and film mammography is that the imaging systems are different. Digital mammography, which enables a more detailed and clear examination of the breast structure,  exposes the patient to much less radiation.

Digital mammography increases and facilitates the detection of microcalcifications (small lime foci), findings of early stage of breast cancer, earlier than classical mammography. Digital mammography produces higher-quality images by compressing the breast less than film mammography. In this way, the patient complains of less pain.
